Vincent de Paul

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SSVP) is an international Catholic lay organization dedicated to helping those in need, regardless of their background, faith, or ideology. Founded in 1833 by Blessed Frederic Ozanam in France, it aims to provide practical assistance, develop communities, and bring hope to the poor and marginalized.

Members demonstrate their commitment through personal interactions. The Vincentians serve with hope in every charitable endeavor, providing assistance that alleviates suffering and upholds human dignity in all aspects for every individual, regardless of race, creed, or nationality.

The Vincentians are dedicated to reaching out to the poor and those in need—those often overlooked, victims of exclusion, and individuals facing hardship. Our support includes providing food, financial aid for rent and utilities, and caring for the sick, among other forms of assistance.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is present in over 150 countries worldwide and serves more than 4,600 communities in the United States, helping over 14 million people each year.
